Banned, yes. We were playing it during dinner and break, and people were getting injured etc. And the only differences I know of are you can't pass forwards in Rugby and you don't wear excessive ammounts of protection in rugby. Sounds like a good plan to me. I don't know exactly why people left England for the USA, I know why the Irish left for there etc., but I'm not entirely sure of the English. I just know the English wanted more land :p Canterbury is a nice place, very historical. I also have a link to Canterbury as I have some Huguenot blood in me. Some places in England are terrible. Well, I think the fact he found that people care about their heritage alot is because he went to Oxford. The people there are usually well off and well educated, so they will know alot more about their family. Alot of English people don't know about their heritage because they pretty much are just English. In the USA, caucasian people are a mix of many european heritages. I'm really proud of my heritage, but increasingly, it's becoming considered racist to be patriotic or proud of your heritage.

As for where I'm from and where to avoid: I'm from the edge of a city named Sheffield. It's ok, it has a mix of modern and historical stuff. I'm pretty much from inbetwen two counties, one which is Yorkshire, and the other is Derbyshire. Derbyshire pretty much just looks like this. It's a beautiful place. I haven't really been to many places which I could suggest avoiding. I've never been to London, as it would take me hours and London is so congested and costs to gain entry to! I took a picture of the view from my window, which i put over there -> I took this because it has amazing fog which i've never seen before. I also put another pic of a view when it's clear. Your first assumption was right, I'm more of a United fan. I don't hate Wednesday though, as I've been to plenty of Wednesday matches too. If you look on the pics, you can see the Wednesday stadium. It's the big white building thing on the right. At night games, if you listen closely, you can hear the fans :p I'm not just a United supporter though, I've always loved Liverpool, mainly because of this.

If you actually read the book carefully, it says that "Dolohov FALLS with a scream at Flitwicks hand" indicating that he was killed. Also Bellatrix is likely to have been killed because it said "Mollys CURSE soared beneath Bellatrixs outstreched arm and hit her squarely in her chest" Those two in the book are highly likely to be deceased so why did u change it? Snape's motivation

Sorry if I misunderstood you... It seems like even you are just talking about a line or two about Snape's parentage. As such, why not simply add such a line or footnote to the article at a place that you believe appropriate? But it still seems to me that talking about "merging" the two articles is much too overblown; we're really talking about deleting the article on the parents and perhaps adding one or two lines about them to Severus Snape. They wouldn't be wearing Russian coats if they weren't from Russia.

Why is Durmstrang not in Finland?

Once again, before signing off the rights to make film versions of the first four films, JK added the condition that characters must be played by actors of the same country of decent. Warner bros originally wanted Hayley Joel Osmant as Harry but couldn't due this.

The actors are all Russian apart from Karkarof and Krum. No people from Finland.

Oops, I didn't realize I might be dealing with a non-native English speaker - my apologies. Allow to define:

• cowboy up - to be an adult, specifically a mature man, more specifically a tough, mature man that gets into bar brawls, wears leather chaps (in a non-sexual way), and rides off into the sunset after putting bullets into the bad guys. I use it here to refer to acting like a reasonable grown-up.
• AGF - a policy of Wikipedia, referring to assume good faith
• cruft - useless or pointless information that is most likley originating in the mind of the editor, who makes connections from what they observe and what they think they observe. Cruft has no place in Wikipedia
• nary - see the definition here

• Tal-Botvinnik 1960 is listed as one of Tal's (all too few) books, but I don't think it's actually used in the article. We also need a World Chess Championship 1960 article to go in Category:Chess world championships. We are actually missing articles on all championships before 1948 and between 1948 and 1963, but a Tal fan would be especially interested in 1960. Potters on the Black family tree

Hey there,

I noticed you removed my mention of Charlus & Dorea Potter and their son from the Potter Family section of the Blood Purity article. I do understand your reasoning, and I know any mention of Charlus Potter is controversial, but there are many places where Harfang Longbottom, Caspar Crouch, and other familiar names are mentioned in relation to the Longbottom, Crouch, etc. families' articles, although it's equally unknown how or if they are related. If we're going to be consistent, Charlus and his son (being Potters) should be mentioned. What do you think?

Blood Purity

You are going to stop reverting back your own notions of blood purity in articles like "weasley family".

I have already explained why you are wrong, and why saying the Potter children are "pure blood" is original research. Show me were it was said that they were pure blood in the text, and then it will be accepted.

But for now, it's only your own speculations. It's all a matter of fictional characters point of views, and as you're not their author you cannot assume what they would say about it.

Rowling has told us that Blood purity was only a subjective ideology, that it was just like the Nazis considering a single jewish ancestor polluted all the family. Thus you can't assume what certain characters would think.

We already had this conversation and you completely failed to bring concrete elements to your claims. So stop trying to impose your opinions.

As I've said, I'm not saying one version is right and one is wrong, I'm saying you cannot impose your own views about it (because that's what it is: in absence of canonical elements from the text). As long as you don't provide enough proof of what you're saying (and you refuse the debate), you can't intervene in these matters. I am removing the fact tag at the top of the page, as targeting individually uncited info allows folk to address/remove bad info after a period of time. Yeah, as you can see, Viri has that selective memory thing. He didn't say that he's followed my edits in at least a half-dozen articles, and sicne i am on changes patrol, his edits are going to come up every so often - or more frequesntly, someone upset with his edits. SPAM has been on my list for a while, and Viri seems to gorget that in each case, I didn't call his edits (or his uncivil personal attacks) vandalism. I fixed his edits, or encouraged him to fix them. In each case he did...and then followed my edits to another user's page. Anyway, I thought that part of the story - specifically Viri's side of the story - seems to inhabit the Candyland portion of reality. Putting aside your usual litany of strange personal attacks, I dispute every claim you've ever made about me, and I have dozens of diffs to prove it. It would be beyond funny to try to see you "prove" that I've followed your edits in "at least a half-dozen articles" when no such incident has ever occurred, but please try for my amusement. I'm quite interested to see what you will come up with! Since you claim to be a writer, I'm sure you can think of something. (Try brainstorming if nothing comes to mind. But please, make it engaging, there's nothing worse than reading boring fanfic.) Frankly, Arcayne, the complete opposite of what you claim is true, and I suspect you are making these wild, outrageous claims for attention-seeking purposes. For someone who claims to ignore me, the diffs show a different story: you've been stalking my edits for a long time, starting with your sudden appearance on ALF and Talk:ALF which you gleamed from my contribution list. Furthermore, you've never fixed a single edit I've ever made - in fact quite the opposite is true. I don't think you actually know what "recent change patrol" is, but nevertheless, I first became aware of you when I began editing Children of Men after I saw your disruptive edits in the recent changes log, where you attempted to change the ending of the film, insert OR, and basically make a fool of yourself; It's been downhill with you ever since. I rewrote that article, and you had the audacity to claim that you wrote it on your user page, which I find incredibly amusing to this day. Making disruptive edits is one thing, but taking credit for the work of others is quite another, but no matter.
