Velvet the Guinea Pig

Velvet is a (as of February 2007) 5 year old guinea pig who resides in our backyard. She has a white streak running down the front of her face, and the rest of her fur is black with a few orange spots. She used to have a friend called Charlie, but she died in September 2004 of a tumour in her cheek. Velvet eats mainly celery, lettuce, carrot, brocoli, grain and corn. She loves her food, and squeaks angrily at us if she gets it later than 9 am. Now that I think about it, she squeaks for her food no matter what the time is.
