Articles for deletion nomination of Sterling Helicopter

edit

I have nominated Sterling Helicopter, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sterling Helicopter. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Sterling Helicopters

Good to see you are trying to work on the article, but please note that commercial listing sites can't be used as sources on Wikipedia. And I don't know if this company are making a claim that is not completely accurate, but I've just received an email From Philly International stating that their helicopter terminal is open for any public or private bookings, including passenger facilities, arrivals, departures, craft servicing and hangers. A word of advice... you really need to give up with the childish behaviour on the deletion page, because believe me, that's what it is coming across as. The Sterling article doesn't meet Wikipedia guidelines and I'm sorry, but it's completely right that it's been nominated for deletion. Unless you can come up with more substantial supporting evidence, you are going to have to accept that it's got to go. If you like aviation that much, there's a whole world of aviation related articles out there that you could contribute to, so why not sign up to Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation, work on some of the articles there to help you learn the ropes and then try writing your own articles once you've had some practice.
I had to go through the same thing when I joined Wikipedia, so don't think I'm trying to pull you down. I wrote an article that nearly got deleted, but by taking the advice that was given to me, it got saved and from a few measly lines that were absolutely not right for a Wikipedia article, it eventually developed into - Bird College. So just chill out, accept you are wrong on this one, get some practice and then try starting the article again properly. Crazy-dancing (talk) 19:21, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
