Hi Grace! This is a really good start to the ecosystem diversity article. What I think is confusing about this topic is that it is essentially the term biodiversity from the chapter 47 reading, but with only community and landscape diversity included in the definition (leaving out genetic diversity). I like how you build up to the full definition by defining ecosystem separately. I would the highlight that in ecosystem diversity you are looking at both the landscape and the community diversity. I would also discourage you from quoting the dictionary. Your first sentence is a good enough definition of ecosystem. In your second paragraph you continue to define ecosystem diversity. Instead, I would talk about a study that involves ecosystem diversity to look into subjects like what happens when there is more or less ecosystem diversity. Great start :) Melmacd94 (talk) 22:07, 15 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Grace, I think you have gotten off to a good start with this article addition. I agree with Melanie that you do not want to quote any material from your references, but instead do put that material in your own words, and then cite the source.

Also, in your second paragraph, you mention that there are many types of ecosystems on Earth - would it be helpful to list these ecosystems, and then refer the reader to those Wikipedia pages via a link? It may also add to your article if you briefly discuss why ecosystem diversity is important. Last, referring the reader to links per Wikipedia pages per other types of diversity (e.g., species and genetic) would be helpful.

Last, do include journal articles in your final draft, and continuing to focus on writing clarity would be good. Rhirshorn (talk) 18:50, 20 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I added genetic diversity and specie diversity into my definition of biodiversity. I also listed the importance of Biodiversity to humans.Ettahtaje (talk) 05:03, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
