KILLING WOMEN IN NAMIBIA

edit

It has become more like a custom for Namibian men to kill women this year. Approximately more than 20 women were killed by their lovers, boyfriends or husband mostly the wamboe tribe.[1] [2] [3]. Other cases where women are killed is when they are raped by unknown people or merely peoplo they do not have relationships with.[4] It feels as if men are killing women in Namibia to show empowerment, it has become more like a custom since almost every week women are being killed by their lovers.

Reasons why killing of women mostly occur:

edit
  • They cheat on their lovers, boyfriends or husbands
  • They allow their boyfriends to spent thousands of dollars on them knowing that the relationship will not last long
  • Rape
  • Young women dating with older men for their money

With such cases men are given reasons to kill women and they do it brutally, simply because they want to take revenge or/and cannot stand to see their lovers doing that to them. In some cases women are killed with a tie, stabbed to death or shot with a gun. Because men cannot live with the fact that they killed their loved ones, they end up killing themselves too. Statistically it is said that 95% of the women are are killed by their lovers and boyfriends, not by their husbands[5] which obviosly shows that it is the people who are not serious with each other that tend to kill each other.
