Communist Party of Aotearoa edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Communist Party of Aotearoa, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Communist Party of Aotearoa. AfD nomination of Communist Party of Aotearoa edit

An editor has nominated Communist Party of Aotearoa, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Communist Party of Aotearoa and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 13:59, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Attitude edit

I like your attitude. Too often I get into conflict, trying to bring articles up to encyclopedia standard (the most reliable secondary sources etc). I'm going to leave those things to those who want to fight, and keep their articles in the gutter. Mostlyharmless (talk) 21:56, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tony Montana edit

You should not have closed this characters page without a discussion on the talk page. Your reasoning for the redirect was because you deemed the character as NN... really? Well per this AfD, he is.--Endless Dan 13:03, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice edit

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Michel Foucault FAR edit

Michel Foucault has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. Thanks! Lesgles (talk) 20:51, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Alter-globalization merger edit

Hi there, I just noticed that you merged alter-globalization with anti-globalization, and there doesn't seem to have been much conversation about it ahead of time (in fact there appears to be nothing more recent than May 2007 on the talk page). There is actually quite a bit of academic literature demonstrating the importance of the alter-globalization movement as distinct from anti-globalization. I strongly think this term warrants its own page, and so I have reinstated it for now. If you feel strongly about the two being merged, I would really appreciate hearing from you about it; if there is significant disagreement on the matter, maybe we should get more people involved to see what others think. I hope you don't feel as though I am stepping on your toes here; I just feel that this page is a useful resource that should not disappear. I am sure that as the movement becomes more well-known, and as more is published about it, there will be more useful contributions to it. Thanks, and I look forward to talking about this further, if you wish to. romarin [talk ] 17:39, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
