Observations

edit

Hi, so far, so good, just hit the Wikinews section and towards the end there is this sentence:

  • Ideally WP would have the normal up-to-date off-hand summary and point readers to Wikinews for the detail!

I'm not sure what you mean but off-hand appears to be used mistakenly in place of some other more appropriate expression, see Wiktionary. Do you mean "concise" or something along those lines?

And there's the final sentence:

  • The content tends to include large amounts of minutiae (see "A day in their life") and often rambles.

Which I find concludes abruptly and could be improved by adding, for example:

  • and often rambles on incoherently, presenting a hotch-potch of notable facts and trivia all jumbled together

What do you think? CaptainScreebo Parley! 22:30, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

In source stack:

  • but if you really must stack sources then put then in one citation as bullet points.

Apart from the double "then", this makes no sense. Could you rewrite it to be clearer what you mean (and maybe give an example)?

I also think that it would be a good idea to point to a "reflist" tutorial or explanation page in the section above this one, I'm not really sure how it works, and if it makes editing articles and swapping references easier, I'm willing to learn (and so hopefully will others be).
