Thanks for the useful links, I'll be sure to read through them before making more contributions. -Nick Klose (T/C) 16:42, 2 November 2009 (UTC)" (Quoted from User_talk:Adrian J. No worries! Don't feel you have to read every word of every little guideline before contributing – there are zillions of them. The links above are just for convenience. So long as you understand the five pillars you won't go too far wrong. Cheers, Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 02:58, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Empire State Building Design edit

Hi.

User:208.96.148.51 is a vandal.

See your comment at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:208.96.148.51

He also linked a name in Empire State Building which was a vandalism. See his: edited by 208.96.148.51 (talk) at 17:30, 14 November 2008. [1]

The same name stayed at the article for more than 2 years spreading in many places in the web (hundreds).

Since: Revision as of 23:21, 13 April 2007 (edit) (undo)24.190.100.20

Since this user's [2] on November 9 for which I issued his last warning, he's made only oneedit this month. His most recent edit was unconstructive and I've added a second warning to the user's talk page (the page itself has already been reverted). However, I've looked over the user's list ofcontributions, and in my opinion many of them were made in good faith. The edit to Empire State Buildingyou mentioned added a rather-unnecessary link to a disambiguation page rather than a page on the person himself, but it doesn't seem to constitute vandalism. It also occurred over a year ago.
Long story short, there's not much that can be done at this point. If the user makes more unconstructive edits in the future it may be necessary to issue more serious warnings and possibly issue a temporary block, but I don't think that sort of action is reasonable at this point (see Wikipedia:VandalismandWikipedia:Avoid_the_word_"vandal"). -Nick Klose (T/C) 16:44, 23 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
