Speedy deletion nomination of Hunter Original

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hunter Original, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Endofskull (talk) 23:49, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. GILO   ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY 23:52, 16 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

November 2010

edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Hunter Original. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. WAYNEOLAJUWON 00:19, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Hunter Original. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. TwistOfCain (talk) 00:20, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Hunter Original. TwistOfCain (talk) 00:21, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I apologize for mistaking your edit for downright vandalism, however Wayne is right; simply removing the speedy deletion template will get you nowhere. Instead, add {{Hangon}} to the article itself, and state why it should not be deleted on the talk page. Have a nice day, Dylan620 (tc) 00:23, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please be advised

You most likely *WILL* be banned for recreating the deleted article Hunter Original Barts1a (talk) 00:35, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yup.

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but it is considered inappropriate for such groups to use Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organization for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.

The username Mark Dilley is already registered. Please choose a name that is unregistered. Best, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:03, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your suggested change would definitely solve the username problem. Before we unblock, I want to let you know that, under the WP:COIconflict of interest guidelines, we all agree to avoid writing about ourselves or our own businesses or web sites. Now that you know you won't be writing about Hunter Original, do you still want the username change? What other subjects do you think you'll be writing about? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 02:59, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

I will usually edit to correct things or spelling. I will sometimes edit to add new imformation. I still want my username change. I will not write about hunter original ever again.

The user name Mark Dilley is already in use by an active user. --Diannaa (Talk) 06:04, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Before choosing another possible user name I suggest taking the advice above of checking Special:Listusers to make sure you choose one that is not in use. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:11, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Warning

edit

This is your only warning. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Ceiling fan, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --Angelo (talk) 20:16, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:36, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I promise not to vandalize anymore.

Decline reason:

Nor will you while you're blocked. An exceptional explanation for your actions and some indication of how you're going to edit in the future is needed. Kuru (talk) 21:46, 26 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
