AFL Women's edit

Could it just say "The winner of this match is the competition's premier"? It's just a statement of fact, we don't need to say "Johnson Creek is declared a 25-mile (40 km) tributary of the Willamette River," for example. If declared (or determined), by who is it declared (or determined)? It seems to imply that someone else might declare some different team the premier, as if there some sort of controversy. The winner of the final is the competition's premier. This is uncontroversial, indisputable and irrevocable – no secondary declaration or determination is necessary. What do you think? Jack N.
