Good references and plan!
A few suggestions:
- "Using conditional gene knockout eliminates many of the side effects from traditional gene knockout." What are some of these side effects?
- "The enzyme Cre recombinase is a site-specific recombinase, which recognizes two lox (loci of recombination) sites and causes recombination between them." -- people with some genetics knowledge know this is referring to DNA sites, but your average reader would be confused - make it clear that Cre recombinase is recogniznig DNA sequences and recombining these!
