Articles for deletion nomination of Ipanema Paradise

edit

I have nominated Ipanema Paradise, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ipanema Paradise. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Eeekster (talk) 02:46, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Altibr. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Eeekster (talk) 02:49, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Ipanema Paradise. Marek.69 talk 02:50, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Specifically:   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Ipanema Paradise, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 02:54, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

That's funny, because this horse is actual and I provided a source...
SO WHAT'S THE DEAL?!
I'm just trying to add the famous racehorses I know and who deserve to be remembered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ElemUser (talkcontribs)
The deal is, the horses aren't clearly notable. Not every racehorse is notable just for being a racehorse. For instance, Ipanema Paradise is nearly eligible for speedy deletion because there's no clear assertion of notability; it's not clear that suffering a career-ending injury in a workout is notable. —C.Fred (talk) 02:56, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Further, Chester House has been speedy deleted for failing to clearly assert notability. Being the parent or sibling of a notable individual does not render notability to that individual, and the only claim in the article was siring other horses. —C.Fred (talk) 02:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Heavenly Gaze

edit

The article Heavenly Gaze has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient claim of notability. Being involved in a collision, even if three horses die as a result, is insufficient.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
