Edits on the Culture series edit
Hello, Elanguescence! Thanks for your edits to list of civilisations in the Culture series—I've edited it a bit myself since I'm a huge fan of the series :)
Since you're working on the article, I'd suggest looking at the guidelines in Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction if you haven't already; Wikipedia tends to frown on giving overwhelming amounts of detail on fictional works or writing too much based on your own interpretations of the works. I'm not saying you're likely to violate those guidelines (I'm more concerned about what's already be written by others) and I certainly don't want to discourage your from editing, but I also don't want to see you spend a lot of time on something and then see it deleted later.

- Hi Neil! Thanks for linking to those guidelines, I had not seen them yet. They make perfect sense to me, though. I would say that I had been aiming for something like that, but I will check again - I am probably too wordy, and of course proper sources are still missing. - Yeah, I think sources do tend to be the issue—I doubt there are many secondary sources discussing the different civilisations in the series, and it's a bit problematic to rely too much on the novels themselves as primary sources. But I'm sure you'll strike a good balance! I'm a bit tempted to jump in and help you, but I already feel self-conscious about the number of times I've reread the series :)—Neil P.
