Suggestion regarding passports edit

Hi. It occurred to me that someone looking for Monaco-issued passports, for example, might not know that Monaco citizens are called Monacans. As I can see you have created plenty of articles on national passports, you should consider making redirects for each of these articles. For example, Monaco passport could be a redirect to Monacan passport.

Just a thought. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 01:47, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

From Passportman (8/3/2008):

1. Reply to Blanchearb: Monacans are a tribe of Indians, the home ground of which was (still is?) Virginia. Citizens of Monaco are Monaguesques.

2. Henley Visa Restrictions Index: Signals -- and -- were added to the term "Henley Visa Restrictions Index". The signals direct to the Wikipedia article, and footnote 38 directs to the Henley web page, though the article and the footnote have similar information. A reader should not have to read the same material twice. Therefore, either the signals should be deleted or footnote 38 should be deleted. My preference is to delete the signals: (1) The Henley web page is the original; the Wikipedia page is taken from the web page. (2) The Henley web page has more information than the Wikipedia page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.40.137.197 (talk) 04:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Infobox Weather additions edit

You've been adding a lot of {{Infobox Weather}}s to articles, but with empty references ("ref name=worldweather >{{cite web | url = | title = | accessmonthday = | accessyear = | publisher = | language = }}</ref>"). You should really leave those out if you don't have a URL and title, since they put an error into the reference list if you don't. Thanks! RossPatterson (talk) 18:14, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Ethiopian passport edit

A tag has been placed on Ethiopian passport requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. [LukeTheSpook] | [t c r] 18:52, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Uae Passports edit

Thanks for starting Emirati passports. I suggest you change the name to UAE though, although you are technically correct, since only Emiratis or the native Arabs, can only hold that passport.

New York gubernatorial elections edit

I don't think it helpful your having created separate articles on every single election. It would mean double work to correct and update info on old elections (which I do not have the time to do) and now we have updated and outdated (wrong) articles on the same subject. I think they should be deleted (up to about 1990 where there is no info except the wikitable). Kraxler (talk) 17:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've added a lot of info, and many corrections to the article, so quite a few of the separate (single election) articles are incorrect now. Please check, and update, since you created them for whatever purpose. Besides, we do NOT know much about these elections, and there are a lot of mistakes in the secondary "sources" , but every time I discover something noteworthy I'll add it to the article that shows the evolution of the elections in a historical sequence. Kraxler (talk) 16:22, 4 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I will transform your articles in articles on the state elections of every year. Single articles on the gubernatorial election only are neither useful nor necessary, since the main article gives a complete overview. But, together with the Governor and Lt. Gov. other state officials were elected statewide which I will include.... Kraxler (talk) 21:00, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Visa-free travel for US citizens edit

Hi,

I just wanted to know that if the US citizens require visa prior to arrival for traveling to Brazil, Paraguay and Suriname; then why these countries have to be on the visa-free list? Majalinno (talk)

Thank you for your table in the article CEFTA edit

Please take care no one messes it up again. I just did some cleaning from Serbian POV-pushers neglecting the existence of Kosovo. --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 21:05, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mongolian passport edit

A tag has been placed on Mongolian passport requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Articles for deletion nomination of Mongolian passport edit

I have nominated Mongolian passport, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mongolian passport. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 04:38, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Mongolian passport edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Mongolian passport. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mongolian passport. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

AfD Nomination: Forward 50 etc edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Forward 50 (and few others similar to it) meet these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2006 Forward 50.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2006 Forward 50. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the articles/lists. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" templates (the boxes at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the articles/lists. IZAK (talk) 18:36, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of 2004 New York Republican primary edit

The article 2004 New York Republican primary has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The New York primary was cancelled that year and replaced with a state committee meeting, as President Bush ran uncontested.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
