Dear Eike, some opinions were further discussed inhttp://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Fragen_zur_Wikipedia#.E2.80.A0_icon. Thank you for your attention. Etan J. Tal 13:29, 19 August 2011 (UTC)

Perp walk edit

I'm sure some people have speculated as to this, but if the sources I had consulted said this I would have put it in the article. Daniel Case (talk) 14:27, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Once Upon a Time in Mexico edit

Dol Grenn (talk) 13:01, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

"unterlass dumme Reverts" hattest du geschrieben. --Eike sauer (talk) 17:55, 24 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey guys. Had to plug your German into google translate (which gives questionable translations, grammatically speaking, but I think I've got the gist of your conversation) but since I also reverted Dol Grenn's edit I thought I'd drop a note in here, where you guys were talking about it.

First up, assuming that google translate is accurate, "stupid reverts" is bordering on WP:CIVIL problems, Dol. It's frustrating having contributions reverted, I know, but it happens to all of us, especially when we're newish around here. Second of all, Eike sauer is correct that Dol's changes to the film article are, in fact, not good grammar changes. The sentence in the lead, as you left it, was actually very misleading as it implied Rodriguez wrote and directed the film in 2003, which is when it was released. If you know anything about the film process at all, you know that he likely didn't write, direct, and produce the film the same year it was released. And even if, for the sake of argument, he DID do all of that, it still made for a bloody awkward sentence. Since you guys raised the point, I figured I would confirm Eike's supposition that some of the reverts were from native English speakers. Trust me; the status quo on that sentence is better than the changes.

Cheers to you both and happy editing.  :) Millahnna (talk) 00:08, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your words! I would be very reluctant to correct grammar in a foreign language. Unfortunatly, Dol isn't. Your'e right that "stupid reverts" is bordering civil behaviour, and "Arsch" does even more so. Where would be the right point to report such things if it continues like that? --Eike sauer (talk) 13:33, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I believe (not positive) that there is a link to the incivility noticeboard at the civility link I provided above. Beyond that, given that there are other problems beyond civility here, WP:ANI might be the way to go. I'm honestly not certain. I know that in the past I've reported a situation at ANI and been kindly directed to the correct place to report. And it seems to be a good catch all when you're dealing with someone making potentially problematic edits AND showing poor behavior towards other editors. I'm guessing Dol is on several people's radars now, however. He's editing across projects (history, film, germany, etc.) and while he seems well intentioned, so many of the edits have been reverted for valid reasons that there may be a few folks keeping an eye out to see if they can help improve his contributions. Millahnna (talk) 14:05, 25 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Was soll der ganze Mist!! Ich hab mich bei dir schon entschuldigt!!! Dol Grenn (talk) 12:14, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Dol Grenn (talk) 13:01, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
*gähn* Komm vorbei. --Eike sauer (talk) 13:02, 27 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
