I've copied your reply here to keep the discussion in one place. I'm fascinated that you have John Hutchinson, the founder of industry in Widnes, in your family tree. The problem is how to use this information in a manner suitable to WP. Material in WP must be verified from a reliable PUBLISHED source (say, a book, academic paper, newspaper and the like). Using material from a primary source, such as a family tree, would be regarded as "original research", and is not acceptable in this form. Information about this can be found in WP:V and WP:OR. So what we need in this case is the information about his date of birth and baptism from a reliable published source. It's not in any publication I can find; do you have access to any such work? It would be invaluable in this case, as it seems that we do not have an accurate verified date of birth. This all sounds complicated, but it's how WP works. Cheers. --Peter I. thank you for letting me know, I did not realise that rule before. I'm afraid I do not know of any published research which can confirm his date of birth.
