Welcome!

Hello, Efigueroa, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. dndonlinegames on Dungeons & Dragons edit

Just a heads up: your link to dndonlinesgames in the Dungeons & Dragons has been reverted twice by two different editors. If you re-add it, it will probably be reverted again. Generally speaking links to fan sites and forums don't belong on Wikipedia. There are a nearly infinite number of sites to discussion and play D&D online. Wikipedia is not a link site, we don't want Wikipedia to collapse under the weight of all those links. — Alan De Smet | Talk 05:04, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Babaschess.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Chessmaster 10 screen.jpg. The copy called Image:Chessmaster 10 screen.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 05:59, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

FICS Image edit

Hi, the image contained elements of somebody else's software and somebody else's operating system GUI, so you don't have the ability to license the image. Even if the software is free, that doesn't mean that the author has given up intellectual property rights. And the Microsoft GUI is definitely protected by copyright. If you want to use an image like that, you should crop out the Windows elements and then upload it with one of the screenshot licensing templates. You'll also need a non-free use rationale justifying the use of this non-free image. Hope that helps. -- But|seriously|folks  16:29, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Babaschesscrop.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Babaschesscrop.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 23:02, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That one's much better -- just upload a lower res version with the same name. To request deletion of an image you uploaded, use {{db-author}}. Cheers! -- But|seriously|folks  23:18, 27 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I should have mentioned you should reduce it in size as well. Make it about the size of the thumbnail that appears in the article and you should be fine. -- But|seriously|folks  04:13, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
