Speedy deletion nomination of RaDAR

edit

A tag has been placed on RaDAR, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hang on}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RaDAR

edit

Hello, Edleighton! Welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed you removed the citations needed template, even though your article still does not have any references. Please do not remove that template yourself unless you are positive that your article has enough citations. If you need anything or have any questions, please feel free to contact me on my talk page, and I will do my best to help you.

Happy editing!

Help develop the RaDAR article

edit

Hi I will try to help you develop the article. At this stage it may be wise to move it into userspace - where it won't be subject to pspeedy deletions and other premature actions. The main problems with the article are:

  • Lack of external sources.
  • The style of writing is unsuitable - a WP article may not be promotional.

To address these issues I think this page should be moved into a sandbox under your user page until it is developed to the point where it can be "published" in mainspace. If you need help doing this pleasse let me know. Roger (talk) 06:42, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Moved RaDAR to a draft space under your User page

edit

I moved the page out of article space to User:Edleighton/Rapid Deployment Amateur Radio. I placed a link to it on your user page. The article can now be developed "in peace" without having to constantly fight off deletion attempts. Once the article is in a "fit and proper" state for "publication" on Wikipedia propre it can easily be moved. Roger (talk) 11:02, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
