Flower of Life

edit

Hi, thank you for your comments. I appretiate hearing that my efforts on writing the article haven't gone entirely unnoticed or unappretiated. I actually spent a quite lot of time researching, writing the article, and coming up with pictures. ..I am curious how you ended up noticing that it was I who wrote the majority of the content, as opposed to other contributors.

To answer your question.. These are the references I used for the section referring to Leonardo: [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

  1. ^ Melchizedek, Drunvalo (2000). The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Volume 2. Light Technology Publishing, Clear Light Trust. pp. 252pp. -X. {{cite book}}: Cite has empty unknown parameter: |coauthors= (help)
  2. ^ Reti, Ladislao (1990). The Unknown Leonardo. New York: Abradale Press, Harry Abrams, Inc., Publishers.
  3. ^ MonkeyBuddha.BlogSpot.com - Information about the FOL in regards to Da Vinci's Challenge games.
  4. ^ Plus.Maths.org : Maths and art
  5. ^ Home.cc.UManitoba.ca : Leonardo da Vinci Drawings
  6. ^ FlowerofLife.org : The Golden Mean Spiral and The Merkaba : Page 9
  7. ^ Crystalinks.com - Article on Leonardo da Vinci.
  8. ^ PaganAndProud.BravePages.com - Sacred Geometry

"The Unknown Leonardo" seems like it's probably the best resource that I know of for this particular subject. here's a link to the Google Books entry for this book. Notice the box on the righthand side, showing some options of where to purchase the book.

Also, just fyi, I made up the abbreviation FOL. It's not a very proper way of refering to the Flower of Life. I now regret using the abbreviation in the article and would go back and change it if I weren't too busy with other things.

Additionally, not to come off as arrogant, just trying to lend some freindly advice.. when you leave a message or comment, you should sign your name by either hitting the signature button above the edit box, or by typing --~~~~ which translates to a proper signature including links and timestamp.

Anyway, thanks again, and I hope I've helped you. If you need anything else let me know. --sloth_monkey 02:46, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Philosophy

You say you have geometric proofs which relate to sacred geometry and the flower of life? I would be interested in seeing this if you care to share. If not, I completely understand. Just throwing it out there.

Also, in case you haven't heard of them, there is a company called The Teaching Company (TTC) which you might find useful or interesting in your studies. They produce high quality college courses in video, audio, or text format. There are many courses to choose from. Here's a link to a course on Philosophy of Science.
