Question about your article

edit

I have some questions about the article on Crash simulations. It has a lot of good content, but there are some things that need clarification. Please take a look at the talk page for that article. J. Finkelstein 18:52, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:PLANE CRASH.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hunter 18:08, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

QUESTIONS FROM EHA: Thank you for your valued comments on missing copyright holder and copyright status. The copyright holder is Eberhard Haug (myself), who created the images from material produced at my employer company, ESI Group, before the years 1981 (PLANE CRASH) and 1986 (POLO). I had added the following tag: "I, the creator of this work, hereby grant the permission to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts. Subject to disclaimers." to both of the pictures, which reappears if you click on the pictures in the page "Crash simulation". I therefore thought I had correctly tagged the pictures. Can you please help me and indicate what I missed? Thanks for your help, Eberhard Haug.

PS: I was scientific director of the ESI Company and I am now retired. I was responsible for the crash simulation application, and I find it useful to include the "Crash simulation" keyword, as opposed to the existing keyword "Crash tests", into Wikipedia. This is my first Wikipedia article and I may not fully understand all the rules.
