Notability of EAFCT

edit

A tag has been placed on EAFCT, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 16:25, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with EAFCT. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Finngall talk 17:30, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

hello, i don't understand what this is. can you remove the big sign in front of the article? thank you. EAFCTrep

Why the article was deleted the first time

edit

I wrote a bit at Talk:EAFCT, which I am copying to here:

(In response to the edit summary in this article's recreation.) Actually the page was speedily deleted for no assertion of notability [1]. Only Administrators can delete, and while they can make mistakes, it was not likely to be vandalism. I suggest contacting the Admin involved, and failing that, filing a deletion review if you believe the page was deleted against policy.

If the article has not been changed, then it likely still fails the notability criteria and may be subject to deletion again. Flyguy649talkcontribs 14:19, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

The article has been changed and there doesn't seem to be any reason for deletion. In fact, this article is more important than hundreds of African articles without any references, that randomly talk about unknown African individuals. So the sudden deletion of this article was probably a mistake. Contact me if there are questions.

Unfortunately, just because other articles exist, that does not justify either another article's inclusion or exclusion. I suggest contacting the deleting admin, Coredesat (talk · contribs), if you want to question its deletion. Also, please sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~). Proposed deletion of EAFCT

edit

The article EAFCT has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Organization fails WP:NORG. The only functioning link in the article makes no mention of this org.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
