Porcelain

edit

Hi, You don't seem aware of the difference between porcelain and other types of pottery. Please don't recategorize any more until you are. Johnbod (talk) 15:19, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Johnbod The articles where I added the category porcelain to is because I know that the manufacturers produce or did produce porcelain.
I researched those manufacturers and visited museum where the items were displayed.Duvillage (talk) 19:57, 19 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't believe it, frankly. Faience is by definition NOT porcelain, likewise Delftware. None of the articles mention porcelain, and even if there has been minor production, the ones I reverted are essentuially eathenware manufacturers, and should not be categorized under porcelain. Hi Johnbod - I respectfully submit that you have things backwards. Porcelain is a type of earthenware, a type of pottery, a type of ceramics. Of course, it is a very specialized type. When I have some free time, I will re-examine those articles (this includes articles in languages other than English) and check-out the museums websites (including in languages other than English) and if I find the text that they did produce porcelain, I will link the information, so that it is documented. --Duvillage (talk) 22:16, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
