Drichmond...I would like to discount your version of why the COC in Mansfield changed its name to Citipointe in 2000. It had nothing to do with another church of the same name in Texas. The change was made by Ps. Mark Ramsey when he took over the Church in Sept 2000. 5 years earlier he pioneered a church in Colorado named Citilife Church. When he moved back to Brisbane, he loved that name but decided to use a derivative of Citilife- hence becoming Citipointe. I was there when the decision was made in 2000.

I don't know who you are, since you didn't follow the guidelines to leave your name, but you don't know what you're talking about.

Mark Ramsey founded that church in Colorado Springs AFTER meeting the pastor of Citipointe Church (http://www.citipointe.org), AFTER preaching at said church, and AFTER we visited the 1996 COC conference in Australia. Mark was well aware of the existence of the name Citipointe as early as 1996. "Citilife" was clearly derived from Citipointe. Hence, the name Citipointe came FIRST, and Mark Ramsey most certainly did NOT coin it himself.

Citipointe Church in the USA was founded in 1989, eleven years before Mark changed the name of the Mansfield church.

In the future, try having all your facts before you "discount" people. Drichmond (talk) 20:49, 19 February 2010 (UTC) drichmondReply
