{{hangon}}

I think this page shouldn't be deleted because people want to know about the current status of the elections. We can keep changing this page as the elections, government is chosen. People will really appreciate it. Dreamyblue96 (talk) 00:50, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have copied your {{hangon}} and comment to where they need to go, i.e. on the article and the article talk page. In the meantime, it would be useful if you were to say in the article what these elections are and when and where they are being held. Kind regards, --Malcolmxl5 (talk) 01:24, 15 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Addite Shirwaikar

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Addite Shirwaikar, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Addite Shirwaikar seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Addite Shirwaikar, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Language to avoid

edit

Articles with language like, "Mohit has just started his career on Indian Television. Mohit Malik is doing his role very well. To find out more about his role as Bharat on BMTD, click Banoo Main Teri Dulhann." reek of advertising, and tend to get articles killed. There was already a link to that show in the article; "to find out more" is the kind of thing that goes in advertisements. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:29, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Additionally, language like "Looks like Mohit and Addite will have to get ready for a wedding!" belongs in a cheap gossip magazine, not in an encyclopedia; and tends to brand an article as a fansite/advertisement, rather than as an impartial account. Gossip language in general tends to get articles killed, especially since it never comes from reliable sources. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:33, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
