article choices edit

I agree with John; there's lots of room for improvement in both of the biographies. Cassini is probably simpler topic, and it will be easier to get started since the article is less developed. Boyle has a more complex and debated role in the history of science literature, and there's more research to do to get a good handle on the topic, but it's also a higher impact article, getting tons of traffic, so improvements you make to that will reach more people.--ragesoss (talk) 01:08, 27 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip Ragesoss, I've decided to go with Cassini as his article seems to need more substantial development which I believe is the point of the project. Dradoowdrad (talk) 05:07, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Great! I see you've started expanding it in your sandbox. With the references, be sure to cite the actual publication you're referencing rather than the library service you're using to access it. The "Gale Virtual Reference Library" links won't work for anyone outside of OU. Even if there isn't a link to the full article freely available, the refs should have clear info so that readers can figure out where the information comes from. In this case (for the dictionary of scientific biography article), instead of "cite web", you want to use "cite book". (You can still include web links in the other cite types, but "cite web" is intended to cite sources that are simply web pages rather than books or journals that are also available on the web.)--ragesoss (talk) 13:54, 3 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
