RAC

edit

Your edits to the article RAC were advertizing your band which is against wikipedia rules. I have reverted the article to the previous version. Please dont do it again. If you have any questions, leave a note on my talk page Urdna 21:18, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, your not suposted to(see below), those articles are normaly removed quite quickly. Also, you deleted the majority of a page to put in something for your band.
It's normaly a bad idea to delete information other people have contibuted- unless its incorect or was vandalized, then you can revert it...

Articles are allowed about major bands, but they are not suposted to be written by a band member, or friend. This is because wikipedia is a encyclopedia, not a social or advertizing website. Thanks, Urdna 21:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Read WP:VANITY. Also, sections of the Help link to the left in that toolbar. Thanks, Urdna 21:40, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Im going to revert that article again, If you REALLY insist on makeing an article make RAC (Band) and then add a link to it on the page you have been editing. Urdna 21:43, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

The (BAND) part is to specificy what RAC mean, there are many differnt times RAC is used, your band isnt the only one... please make the article under that name, and revert the other page. Thank you, Urdna 22:06, 18 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since you have refused to stop advertizing your band, i moved the article, re wrote the old one, and posted yours for speddy deletion.

RAC (Band)

edit

A tag has been placed on RAC (Band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company or website, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why RAC (Band) is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:RAC (Band), explaining how RAC (Band) is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.Urdna 00:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your article about your band was deleted, please dont post other articles about it. If you want to post something, find something already in exsistance on wikipedaia and add more information. :) Urdna 02:27, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Advertise for your garage band again, and you'll be sitting out a nice, long block. —Cryptic 22:00, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Final warning

edit

This is your last warning.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Glen 01:32, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

RAC is a disambiguation page only. That means it is a page that lists the various other pages that have a similar name. Under, CCC for example, are links to Coca-Cola, Clear Channel Communications, Christian City Churches etc etc. They are NOT places to add info about your band. Once again, that was your last warning, please stop. Glen 01:49, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

As a courtesy for other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your talk page and user talk page posts. To do so simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments and your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info see the talk page guidelines. Thank you. Glen 01:50, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
