Help request for related article
edit- Moved multiple duplicate posts here from Talk:Moroni (Book of Mormon prophet), Talk:Mormon (Book of Mormon), Talk:Nephi, Talk:Book of Mormon -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 21:55, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Forgive me for being unfamiliar with any protocol I may not be using, but could I ask that any of you, as relatively more experienced contributors, would help settle a matter on a couple related pages? I came upon a page for Teancum (the Book of Mormon character) and noticed the interesting choice of artwork displayed on the page. Some of us feel that the artwork deserves review for possible removal. I would appreciate your joining the discusion on that page as well as on the page for Ammon_(Book_of_Mormon_missionary) to discuss the possible removal/replacement of the artwork. I notice that this page does not, and most pages regarding the Book of Mormon do not showcase artwork by whatever artist wishes to showcase their work, however misrepresenting the artwork may be. I would ask that you help to maintain the same layout on these other articles. Frankly it's embarrassing to me that they are on the pages without dispute. The image on Teancum looks like it is out of a sketchbook, and the image on Ammon_(Book_of_Mormon_missionary) looks like it belongs in an anime comic book. I do not recall any account of Ammon practicing his swordplay as if he were a samurai. It just looks silly.
If I am out of line, please let me know. I do not wish to be calling attention to something when it deserves none. The images just seem too silly for the pages they are on. Thanks! Douglas.hawkes (talk) 21:22, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Canvasing
editRather than canvasing a bunch of article talk pages with the same text, please keep the discussion at the same location (see Wikipedia:Canvassing). Also note that I already invited a large number of potentially interested editors at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement#User created illustrations usage on Book of Mormon articles. You could copy the above text there if you so choose, or you could just wait to see what discussion ensues at Talk:Teancum#Images without reference, but keep in mind that members of wp:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement may not reply for a few days (it's happened before). -- 208.81.184.4 (talk) 21:55, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
