Re: Education technology assessment -

Minor points: "Of" and "with" italics does not add to content. lowercase formative and summative as capitalization seems unfiting. Interchange "teacher" with word "instructor" for word variety. Change true/false to "true" and "false." When describing types of Mastering programs, do not use etc, keep it succinct to Chemistry and Biology example. Remove huge in "one huge benefit" to be more decisive with language. "Formative assessment is more difficult for teachers to do well, since the perfect form of it is ongoing and allows the students to show their learning in different ways depending on their Learning styles." Not a clear sentence, uses passive voice. Another example "good project looks like" change to "good project is."

Major Points: work on simplicity in describing benefits. For example "When students get these responses, they are able to know how they are doing and this can help push them to improve or give them confidence that they are doing well." Is long, vague, and wordy. Description of benefits seems hazy at times so tighten your entry to be less vague. A good point for accomplishing this is noting the tone of the rest of the article and elevating the writing to this tone.

Possibly split in to two paragraphs, formative and summative?

Expand on summative

Possible issue w/ tech assessment, more on effectiveness etc

Increase amt of sources

Technology is becoming more and more used in education, particularly in the college level but also in the earlier years. Wikipedia had a well-developed article on educational technology, which was what I wrote my literature review about, but the section of the article on Assessment had only a single sentence so that was where I focused. As I discussed in my contribution, using technology for assessment helps both teachers and students and I believe having that information on Wikipedia will help students and parents who may not know why technology is being used to have some ideas for how it can help. The information could also be useful for teachers who are not sure how best to use technology for assessment, as I gave some examples of technologies that can be used and how best to use them.
