editDon't chase Felix Don't Chase Felix is a Richmond, Virgina friendly alternative band. Justin Khoury, the lead singer and artist of Don't Chase Felix.
Justin Khoury: Original music producer from the band, The Northerners, who had their last debut in December, sets his way off in his new band. He was a childhood local of Ramsey, New Jersey, and fathered by Russel Khoury and his original mother Karen. His parents were divorced short after he registered into Ramsey High School. He has two sisters, Allison and Madelyn. Allison was in his band before, The Northerners, and the traveled with their fellow bandmates Josh McCormick, Taylor Laub, and Justin Esposito. Their band broke up and had their last show on the 20th of September, 2015. Justin and Allison have been a duo and roommates for a long time, but decided it was best to go on their own ways of success. Justin founded Don't Chase Felix shortly after the Northerners split up, and on the same date.
The Northerners: The Northerners, originally a duo of Justin and Ally Khoury, was added to gradually with Josh McCormick on drums, Justin Esposito on guitar and bass, and Taylor Laub on lead guitar. Allison was lead vocals while Justin stood as the main songwriter on acoustic guitar, piano, and vocals. The Northerners was an original alternative band that released their first EP, Virgina, in May 2014. Their albums can be discovered on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, and YouTube. Their final show was September 26th, 2015, a bittersweet conclusion held at The Camel in Richmonnd, VA.
Don't Chase Felix: Don't Chase Felix includes Justin Khoury, Jody Boyd on drums, Caroline Mauck, Sam Reed, and Marna Bales on Vox, John Small on bass, and Andrew Trongone on guitar. Allison moved to St. Croix, in the US Virgin Islands, but can be featured in some of Justin's new projects. Their first project, "Come Get Me High" with Andrew Trongone on guitar. A new single, "Boosie Pop" was released in 2015 with Justin and Allison collaborating. Their entire album and "Boosie Pop" were performed on ice by the group Ice Cold Combos.Their brand new single hit the streets this January, called "Holiday ft. Caroline Mauck." A work in progress, Holiday took about 4 months to create not to mention be performed. Their music video for Holiday is filmed right in the warm streets of Richmond, Virgina. You can watch it on YouTube and listen to it all unfold on Soundcloud. Their original, creative music video can be found on Vox, the password being 2040. Don't Chase Felix is going to be around for a while.
