Notes

• I was going to put this on Halopedia, but apparently it doesn't have sortable tables set up.
• "Order of Halo media" was another possible title; I'm not sure which is better.
• Guidebooks and art books are omitted.
• Game extras are omitted because they're bundled with the games. That includes the manuals, the Bestiarium, the Halo Wars timeline and the various behind-the-scenes videos. I'm including Halo Wars: Genesis because it sounds like more a part of the storyline rather than background material, or something.
• The Halo movie is omitted because it's been "pending development" for kind of a while. (Another recent mention is here.)
• Trailers and the like are mostly omitted because usually either non-canon or redundant to the games, because they'd clutter up the timeline and because I'm lazy. That includes ViDoc: Desperate Measures.
• Since I haven't read all of Helljumper or Blood Line, I'm only guessing that they don't tie into other stories' events.
• I don't know if this is the same as We Are ODST.

Things I should do

• Add the Halo Wars apocrypha and 2160-2200 timeline.
• Try to make sense of the October 20/23 thing - threads here, here and here.
• Try to make sense of the First Strike time-warp thing.
• Actually read, watch and play the stuff in the table.
• Read up on Iris.
• Get the Interactive Strategy Game.

Evolutions

• Beyond: >= 2552/11/17, so far as it matters.
• Pariah: Begins sometime before 2517/09/23 (Spartan abductions), ends c. 2527 (two years after augmentations; Soren is 16).
• Stomping on the Heels of a Fuss: Probably after 2552/11/17, per Metalingus.
• Midnight: The Cole Protocol is in effect (p82), so it's at least 2535. Is the "Ghost" a Spartan II, meaning it's before they've gone public? Or maybe a Spartan-III, meaning it's after they were formed? Grunts, Jackals and Elites are in play (p86), but Engineers are "something new" (p87).
• The Mona Lisa: October 2552, Installation 04 debris field. Probably before October 20, since High Charity was in the system by then, and after that the events of H2 were in motion. Unless High Charity arrives during the story.
• The Return: This page indicates 2559.

Around that point I decided I'd rather wait and read the book than spoil myself further.
