Sockpuppetry and other issues

edit

This is an obvious sock puppet account of User:Dirsmith who was blocked indefinitely for continually adding links despite warnings. As such, this account could be blocked immediately, but it is clear that you wish to contribute in good faith so I would like to avoid this. However, it is also clear that you do not understand some of Wikipedia's core policies. Before continuing your editing, please read our policy on original research our policy on verifiability and our policy on conflicts of interest. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask either here or on my talk page. --Leivick (talk) 06:52, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for being an obvious sockpuppet of blocked User:Dirsmith. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. .

My apologies, this is my fault. I discussed the matter with Dirsmith by email and allowed him to upload the content on commons. I forgot to unblock him. Mike: I'm going to unblock him and I'll drop you a note. I'm unfortunately a bit busy at the moment and I'd appreciate if someone could give him a hand. -- lucasbfr talk 10:00, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Incorrectly marking edits as minor

edit

Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. LadyofShalott 19:26, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in this edit to Unitarian Universalism. Inappropriate links include links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that serve as advertising or promotion. Thank you.   Please do not add inappropriate external links, as you did with this edit to Unitarian Universalism. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Excirial (Contact me,Contribs) 19:32, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to History of Unitarianism, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. I agree, the content you are copy pasting is not suitable for any encyclopedia. It is not neutral and neither is it something you'd expect in a paper encyclopedia. Please remember we are not a collection of links. -- lucasbfr talk 21:43, 27 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Don't edit about yourself

edit

Ron, don't stop editing Ronald Dirsmith now. We do not permit you to edit articles about yourself. If you continue, I might just start looking at the other accounts that have edited the same page. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 04:27, 17 September 2014 (UTC)Reply
