My name is Sarah Edwards. My intent is not to use Wikipedia for promotional purposes. I work as a consultant for a number of organizations, including the Dimmitt Automotive Group. The Dimmitt Automotive Group is an organization that has been in business for 100 years and has 15 subsidiaries. My goal is to create unbiased objective content about the Dimmitt Automotive Group and their subsidiaries, similar to the existing listings for Carvana, Asbury Automotive Group or Larry H. Miller: Carvana, Asbury_Automotive_Group, or Larry_H._Miller#Car_dealerships. This content could include information about the group and its founders, public service awards, and philanthropy. This is not a paid service. The group has been in business for 100 years and there are details regarding the history and founders, its subsidiaries that may warrant separate pages. I was unaware that the username could trigger my ip address to be blocked but can certainly change the name to align with your standards. My proposed new username can be SarahEHCC if that is acceptable to the administrators. I will take special care when creating the base content to align with the rules for citations of all business related details.

That would be fine as a new username. You say you work as a consultant, but "this is not a paid service"; both of these things cannot be true at the same time. If you are editing about clients, that is paid editing- full stop. It doe not require specific payment for edits. I think that you have a common misunderstanding about Wikipedia and what we do here. Wikipedia is not a directory of things where existence warrants a mention, nor is it a place for businesses to tell the world about themselves(either directly or via a representative). Wikipedia articles are typically written by independent editors wholly unconnected with the subject, and those articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about(in this case) an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Please read about conflict of interest; you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your clients or anything for which you have a conflict of interest. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. If you want to be a more general contributor and edit about other topics, please tell what those might be. Once you have a good edit history showing your understanding of relevant Wikipedia policies, you may later be permitted to indirectly contribute about your clients, but not now. I do still have an interest in contributing to Wikipedia in a meaningful way and understand that it is not appropriate to post content for any business that I may have a financial relationship with.
