Hi there. I was reading the entry for the Paramount Television Network. I have an interest in TV and TV history, and I was really blown away with how thorough it was. I've read hundreds of Wikipedia entries over the years, and this might be the most impressive one I've seen. I know how tough it is to find info about things like this from the early days of TV.
So, here's my question...were you the primary person who wrote this? If you weren't, do you know who was? If you were,how did you know all the info, and how did you know where to find it? Thanks, Dex Dexblack (talk) 15:10, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

- Thanks so much for your message. Yes, I wrote nearly all of the content in the Paramount Television Network article. Early US TV history hasn't been well-preserved, but recent publications have helped shed light on early network history (White's paper, referenced in the footnotes, is a good place to start for Paramount's first TV ventures). Like you, I'm keenly interested in early TV history. I get my sources primarily from books (usually ordered through interlibrary loan), and from old newspaper clippings from that era. Besides the works referenced in the article's Paramount_Television_Network#Footnotes section, I can also recommend Fifties Television: the Industry and its Critics by William Boddy, which has several nice sections on Paramount's very first TV network (I can give you more references if you're interested: I have ten or twelve books on TV history that I usually start off with). And I use NewspaperArchive.com to research old newspaper articles, which is a great way to find out what local stations were airing any given night of the year. If you get a chance, please take a look at NTA Film Network, another article I've been working on for a while, which is also from that era.
