Welcome!

Hello Devix, welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Our intro page contains a lot of helpful material for new users - please check it out! If you need help, visit Wikipedia:Questions or place {{helpme}} on this page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Unfortunately, however, a tag has been placed on Devix Corporation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. {{{2}}}

{{help me}} I am in the process of gathering the data together in order to create an entry for a company called Devix Corporation. The Devix Corporation is similar to wikipedia entries that are already in existence such as Art Technology Group (ATG) and NetSuite. As per it says for listing a company, I was looking to once I saw how the page turned out add press releases, company website, an entry on the companies commerce suite, etc. I was curious what I may be doing wrong or what I will have to change in order to make it a valid entry that would not be deleted. I can't give you a specific answer unless you show me what you plan to submit. The critical guideline is to avoid showing a conflict of interest. Even if you have a connection to the company, the article should look like it was written by an independent author. Here is the standard introduction to the conflict of interest guideline:

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Shalom Hello 19:26, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} I believe I've made the correct necessary changes. I was wondering how you go about getting that verified to perhaps remove the warnings and make it a viable wikipedia page. Thank you for your help. Devix 21:41, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

To make content in articles verified you must cite them using 3rd party links, for information on this please see WP:Cite for more info. Andyreply 23:53, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Devix Corporation

If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
