Currently learning to contribute and have started engaging with a few active Wikipedians in India and recently attended the Wikipedia Bangalore Meet via webcast. A Wikimedia hackathon is a chance to learn how to develop using MediaWiki, Phonegap, and our other technologies, and to work alongside experts. Software engineers, designers, and translators are welcome. We'll be focusing on internationalisation and localisation, mobile Wikipedia access, and the MediaWiki gadgets framework.
If you need monetary assistance to attend, you can apply for a Participation grant.
