Fair use rationale for Image:1vs100philogo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:1vs100philogo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Fair use rationale for Image:PBB2C6.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PBB2C6.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Re: 1 vs. 100 (Philippine game show) edit

I think it's "Nakararami"; if I'm not mistaken, "Nakakarami" is often used in drinking session if one is told that he has drunk too much. That's I'm thinking. In fact, I've seen the correct word earlier. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oh yes, I think I've seen it earlier. But in the pilot, why did they wrote "Nakakarami"? I think they have mistaken it. - Dehm46

Image copyright problem with Image:Wof.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Wof.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 04:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Change the wheel template edit

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I decided to revert your edit. Your version of the wheel is good, but I discovered that one wedge on yours has the wrong color. And since you've based yours on my wheel before I corrected the colors on it, I decided to do what I have done, which was to revert your edit. I hope you don't have hard feelings. I've also added a reply to your message on the talk page for Wheel of Fortune so I suggest you could check it out for more. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 08:40, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

The site is: http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/andorra/57/gsfonts.html The font is Chesterfield. Not exactly the font used in the Wheel digits in both here and the US version, but it is close. I hope you have WinZip (or anything similar) in your computer. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 12:02, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
PS: I've already uploaded the ABC wheel, and while it isn't like the one actually used (it is based on the US wheel), it is faithful on the colors, values, and order of spaces. But I didn't include the logo, which was in the actual wheel, because of copyright reasons. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 12:28, 25 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Like I said, if you watch the YouTube videos (just type "wheel of fortune philippines" in the search box), you will see that the ABC wheel contains the logo (which I didn't include because of copyright reasons surrounding logos) and its peso and special wedges looked like they were too small for the wheel. That is why I made mine look like the one in the US version. You can either watch those videos first and design your wheel based from them, or you can pick on my design without violating copyright. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 02:20, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Once again, I decided to revert your last edit. I inspected your ABC wheel and discovered you made a mistake: the P2,750 space is actually orange, not yellow as you did in yours. Did you base the colors on your wheel on those YouTube vids or on my wheel? - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:18, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Although it is actually a better idea to get screencaps from the shows, I think making the wedges that are faith are just as good. As a suggestion however, make the special wedges on a single image as an illustration. One image will have the Surprise, Jackpot, and Free Spin wedges from the ABC version and another will have the Power, Jackpot, and Mystery Wedges from the ABS-CBN version. You've watched the ABS-CBN and ABC versions from free TV and YouTube respectively, so you know what they look like (although the Mystery wedges vary in color). - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 13:44, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Just a reminder, BTW. Check your grammar before you click "Save." It seems to me that your reply has pretty bad grammar. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:06, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Here's the what the ABC special wedges looked like: in the article, it is stated that the Free Spin Wedge was colored orange. As for the other two, Surprise was colored red and Jackpot was gold. Each wedge has its name written horizontally along the shorter part of the wedge near the arc (or near the top, if you don't know what I mean) and vertically along the length of the wedge. They were designed that way because, as you have seen in the YouTube videos, when won, a special wedge was placed on a holder beside the player instead of in front like one does in the US version.

BTW, lest I forget, the article also mentions that there is only one Mystery Wedge (based from observation) and its color varies from episode to episode. Again, from observation, its color changes from indigo to pink to yellow. But showing the indigo Mystery wedge at least brings home the point. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 13:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

You know, I like to say "thank you" for going the extra mile as far as updating the wheels and making the special wedges. As you have noticed, I may have posted my Wheels, but as we both know, their edges are jagged as a result of being transferred from Powerpoint to Paint and back to Powerpoint just to color my Wheels. Doing them directly in Power is entirely impossible. And I'm not good at Photoshop, even though I have one installed in my laptop (my little brother had it installed). - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:KapamilyaDealorNoDeal2.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:KapamilyaDealorNoDeal2.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Pbnlogo.jpg} edit

Thank you for uploading File:Pbnlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175 edit

Dear Dehm46,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,
