When the copyright holder and literary executor wish to change a completely inaccurate entry, possibly because others have picked up erroneous information from others, then it has a right and duty to correct this misinformation before further damage is done to this writer and his estate.

For instance - he didn't write any film scripts, he wrote long before the first dates mentioned, his out put was absolutely tremendous - over 600 short stories for a start, and still countinmg as we trace them all over the world. He didn't leave school at the age of 15 to join the Merchant Service. The latest article by his son Shaun contains many errors, which we will have to correct, even though much danmage has been done already.

Poetry was published from when he was just 14. Certain websites have put out inaccurate information and the legal copyright holder has asked for corrections, without effect. There appears to be no other course than to take legal action - don't get involved.

If there are factual inaccuracies, then correct them, and cite sources. Stop blanking the content. To answer your specifics:

1. At no point does it say that he wrote film scripts; it says that his short story was ADAPTED into a movie. Not the same thing.

2. If he wrote long before the dates mentioned, add those works.

3. His output was tremendous -- hence "prolific".

4. Poetry is mentioned.

Either way, you can correct the article with well-sourced information if you choose. But stop blanking it. Ben-w 22:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
