Comment on New user log edit

Hi there. I read your comment on the new user log where you stated that you were blocked from editing. Having a look at your block log, it says you were never blocked. What I suspect happened was that a range of IP addresses were blocked due to vandalism, and unfortunately, your IP address happened to be within that range. Have a look at this page for more info: Wikipedia:Blocking policy#Accidental blocks. Please continue contributing to Wikipedia, I can see from your list of contributions that you are doing great work. Keep it up, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. All the best. - Akamad 23:10, 16 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. - Akamad 23:52, 16 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Could you please add your references for the changes you made to Alice Liddell. In particular for the claim that Dodgson sent the manuscript to George MacDonald, and what Cohen said about the origin of the "Cut Pages" note. --Fritz S. (Talk) 21:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Karoline3.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Karoline3.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:05, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:TRYST3.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:TRYST3.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Jusjih 00:35, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of In the Shadow of the Dreamchild edit

The article In the Shadow of the Dreamchild has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Relies on a sole, self-published source and is lacking external notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rodhullandemu 01:52, 17 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Contrariwise edit

The article Contrariwise has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable new journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
