Hey Haruki! edit

Hey Haruki! Glad to see that you are getting the hang of this AND that you were able to revive your wiki account from five years ago. That's so funny! See you tomorrow. --Lindsay M. Roberts 23:35, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Bibliography edit

Hi, Decafespresso -- your bibliography looks good and your sources look promising to me. Thank you for remembering to include "Print," "Web," etc. as well as the dates you accessed web pages. The only think you should check is: do the names of electronic databases (such as the International Bibliography of Theatre and Dance) need to be italicized? I think so? Check the handbook on that... Also, have you contacted our Online Voluneet, kosboot, to confirm that you can cite non-English sources? I don't know whether that violates a Wikipedia policy or not -- you should leave him a message on his Talk page and ask. Let me know what Kosboot says, and also let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to reading your writing plan in a couple of weeks! Amy E Hughes (talk) 14:16, 2 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Peer review edit

Hi there. You may notice that I have quite a bit of catching up to do on my Wikipedia article. I've been creating a page from scratch so it's barely formed as I'm diligently researching. Because of this my page currently exists as an outline that I'm filling in and hope to have more for you to see by the end of the day on Sunday. You can access that in my sandbox.

Disambiguation link notification for November 25 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Noh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Joruri. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

English-Japanese translation edit

Hello Decafespresso! I'm looking for some collaborators to help me get the AIG page translated to Japanese. I found your username listed under the English to Japanese translators, and was wondering if you had the time and interest in helping out. Please let me know if you're up for it! Thanks, FacultiesIntact (talk) 09:17, 2 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey, thanks for getting back to me! I suppose I should have been more specific about the things that need to get translated. I've got no working knowledge of Japanese, but I noticed the financial data in the infobox on the Japanese page are outdated; on the English page it's been updated as recently as 2013, but the Japanese version shows numbers from 2007. I'm sure the Japanese article as a whole is fine, I think it's more just an issue of adding the most recent info that can be grabbed from the English version, and making sure the other sections are also up to date. Let me know what you think. --FacultiesIntact (talk) 22:29, 9 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hey Decaf! I know it's been a while, but I was wondering if you're still up for making those changes to AIG. I'm sure you've been busy, and the only reason I'm asking again is because I've had some trouble finding active EN>JA translators. Anyway, hope you're doing well! FacultiesIntact (talk) 18:15, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to present you with the Babel Award for Translation for your help in translating AIG into Japanese! Thanks again! FacultiesIntact (talk) 18:08, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Preliminary bibliography for Spring 2015 edit

Hi, Decafespresso! Your bib looks great -- lots of high-quality sources. In terms of MLA style, remember that the names of newspapers and magazines should be in italics -- i.e., American Theatre and New York Times. Otherwise, you have demonstrated a great grasp of MLA style in this bib! Thanks and happy researching! Amy E Hughes (talk) 15:28, 12 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of Noh edit

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Noh you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria.   This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Chiswick Chap -- Chiswick Chap (talk) 21:00, 20 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hallo, a little less robotically. I have enjoyed reading the Noh article. It is very nearly at GA standard, and I have just made some small suggestions to make it more approachable. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:48, 21 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi Decafespresso, good to see you're back editing again. I think we can get Noh to GA quickly if you are around to help. Please let me know whether you will be able to do this, and what your timescales are. I can put it on hold for a week or two if you're busy at the moment. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:19, 25 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I've ticked everything but one: we need a reference for the "Theme" section to cover the list of 5 themes. Then I'll be ready to pass the article immediately. Good work! All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:35, 29 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of Noh edit

The article Noh you nominated as a good article has passed  ; see Talk:Noh for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Interested in talking about your classwork on Wikipedia for a blog post? edit

Hello, I work for the Wiki Education Foundation, which supports students and instructors who use Wikipedia in their coursework. Your article on Noh was a great example (and congrats on seeing it get to GA status!) I'm curious about your experience with Wikipedia assignments, as it seems you've now been through two Wikipedia courses, and are also actively translating on Wikipedia. If you're interested in talking about those experiences and the work you did for our student profile blog, I'd love to have a chat or send along some questions (here or via e-mail). Drop me a message on my talk page, or send me an email: eryk@wikiedu.org. Thanks!

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Please proofread my translation edit

Hi, my name is Kianna and I am also fluent in Japanese and English. However, this is my first time translating something into English and I'm not sure what I'm doing. Wikipedia is very confusing. I have linked the google docs I used to translate an article so please give me feedback and let me know how to make it into an actual Wikipedia page! Thank you!
