June 2006 edit

June 2006 has been proposed for deletion. Please see the article for details. My best suggestions would be to review WP:GTL for setup, write in complete sentences, and make sure information about future events is verifiable. NickelShoe 16:32, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mina edit

I knew about Mina, but I don't know how she was created. Llull 00:02, 7 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Unblocked edit

I have unblocked User:204.43.65.1. I can't promise how long it will stay unblocked. If people keep vandalizing I am willing to reblock it. Sorry. Wikibofh(talk) 15:35, 14 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Dragonlance pages edit

Well, basically we need to improve all of them. I have worked on Goldmoon and Riverwind, and now Sturm. I can think about the other Heroes of the Lance, the Heroes of the Heart, and almost all the other "evil" characters (Ariakas, Ariakan, Kitiara, Fewmaster Toede, etc).

The Doom Brigade is good enough to add information about Kang (if you don't have Draconian Measures, I can complete the missing information later). Also, the lists (especially characters and locations) need quite a boost, as most subsections are stubs.

At User:ReyBrujo/Tasks, in the Dragonlance section, I wrote as reminder some of the tasks I thought were needed. If you want, I can create a page in my user domain listing all the pages there are and their status, what each is missing, the pages that should be created and what each should have, and some other miscellaneous tasks to do, and then each of you can go there, put your name in one of the tasks, so that we don't overlap in a single article, and work on it, so that when the task is finished, the others can check and polish the articles. -- ReyBrujo 03:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Stylesheet: that is strange, as I made sure it would work fine at the different browsers at work. I will double check that, I only have Firefox at home.
As for the tasks, I am writing a small draft at my sandbox. The main problem I see ahead with Dragonlance articles is the "Style". Articles in fiction should be written in a formal tone, and most character articles are written in a very in-universe (aka, as if they were alive). You can see the discussion at Talk:Goldmoon. Some articles, like Raistlin Majere, are focus of a lot of fans, who write as if Raistlin were alive. Modifying the article to match the formal expected tone may draw a lot of quarrels. That is why I started with the "less" known characters, like Goldmoon and Raistlin, because Raistlin, Tanis or Palin have too many fans who would not like a big change in the article style.
There are a lot of stuff to do that are not "character" related, in example, we need to create articles for every book (if not for every book, at least for every series). As I said, locations and characters (also, artifacts) have a lot of potential. The author's articles are rather poor too. With Draconian Measures, you can expand the Draconian article, especially about females, create the article for the book following the guidelines, create and expand Kang, etc. Dragonlance has a near non-existant level right now at Wikipedia, so whatever you do is good for everybody :-) -- ReyBrujo 04:24, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Just wanted to tell you that I have moved the list to User:ReyBrujo/Base/Dragonlance. If you want to add comments, do it there. Also, as you add stuff, change the status of the different sections if possible to keep the table updated. -- ReyBrujo 19:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Taladas edit

You know, I have bought the Blades of the Tiger book last year, but haven't yet been able to start it. So, you will understand when I say I don't want to read the article, as it may have some spoilers. I am currently finishing The Black Wing, which I will use to expand the Khisanth article, and then begin with Chris' book. Hopefully I will be able to help you in a couple of weeks. Until then, you are on your own :) -- ReyBrujo 03:55, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Neat, I will be buying it along with the Amber series (I don't really like the Fifth Age, that is why I don't care reading spoilers about her). I am still reviewing the War of the Lance sourcecode and both Annotated books to add more information to some articles. Thanks for the tip! -- ReyBrujo 04:10, 16 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Sure, no problem. -- ReyBrujo 02:18, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Possible Copyright Violation on Kith-Kana Silvanos edit

Hmm... I usually only tag articles when they are an exact copy of a page. When it is a variation, I prefer deleting the content leaving a stub. I suggest as first measure to write in the talk page that the contents of the article may qualify as copyvio, as slightly modifying the ordering/contents is still copyvio. If in three days the article isn't completely reshaped, either tag is as copyvio (explaining that it is the same article but with different word ordering and some sentence variation) or delete everything leaving only a stub. -- ReyBrujo 04:01, 21 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Firefox Stylesheet edit

Yes, the problem is that I supposed any user browsing to my userpage would see it with my CSS stylesheet, however it seems every user sees user pages with their own stylesheets instead of my own. It seems I will have to hardcode everything. A pity, but with that the problem should be fixed. I will let you know whenever I finish so that you can see if the page is better. Thanks for the feedback. -- ReyBrujo 03:56, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I have inlined all the CSS code. Hopefully this will display correctly for everyone, and not only for me :-) -- ReyBrujo 04:38, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Images edit

OK. I'll put the images in this category, but could you include the new images (if they have enought resolution) at Portal:Dragonlance/Title? Llull 21:46, 26 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

RE: Reybrujo's Dragonlance Task List edit

Can do. DoomsDay349 14:30, 13 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wow! edit

Great work in the List of Dragonlance characters! :D --Masamage 05:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Watchlist edit

I noticed you have a fairly big list of Dragonlance-related items at User:Ddcc/Watchlist. Would you consider moving the page to Wikipedia:WikiProject Dragonlance/Watchlist, to let it in the WikiProject's namespace? A new section explaining the usage with the Special:Recentchangeslinked link and a comment about trying to keep it up to date would be also useful for others. -- ReyBrujo 16:29, 5 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

RE:Empire of Ergoth edit

Thanks for the compliment on the Empire of Ergoth stuff. I tried to update the template but something went wrong, as I'm not familiar with the timeline template. I will try to mess around with it a bit today, hopefull it'll work. 15:32, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey again, I was wondering if you could help me out here. When I try to link an Emperor to their section in the List of Ergoth Emperors, it won't let me. This is what I type in for Ackal Ergot: [[List of Ergoth Emperors#Ackal Ergot|Ackal Ergot. It shows up displaying List of Ergoth Emperors and it has no link. I think placing the #Ackal Ergot there is what messes it up, but I need it. Maybe you have an idea? DoomsDay349 15:44, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hey there, I discovered something. I was reading up on the template syntax, and it registers anything after a # sign as a comment. Therefore, I don't think it's possible to link sections. DoomsDay349 17:12, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Looks like redirecting to the list is as good as it's gonna get...ah well. DoomsDay349 17:18, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

NOGALLERY tag edit

Hello! Please do not remove the tags anymore. If you want to temporary disable it, edit the page, remove the __NOGALLERY__ tag, and do a preview of the page. Thanks. -- ReyBrujo 17:18, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Many Thanks! edit

Greetings! I noticed your addition of many images to Dragonlance articles, and wanted to let you know that I really and truly appreciate your work. I would have given you some sort of award, but I couldn't find an appropriate one (sorry!). I look forward to working with you further. Also, good luck with moving! Sad to hear you'll be gone though :(. Again, thank you! DoomsDay349 03:46, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I know that Rey has done much, but your image contributions are great. Not that I'm undermining Rey or anything, just saying that your recent contribs have been good. DoomsDay349 16:10, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Taladas.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Taladas.gif. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:08, 24 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use images edit

Thanks for the heads-up. I've just voted "agree." :-) --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 23:07, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I would definitely. There doesn't seem to be anybody who thinks it makes sense as it stands now. You can go ahead and do it and inform me once you've brought it up there; I'm not a frequent visitor to the VP so I'll leave it to you. ;-) --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 02:02, 7 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Fair use in portals edit

I am not very friendly with having many images in portals, although my opinion changes when no free images are available. So, I will wait some more before giving an opinion there. Note that massively sending messages to users for a upcoming votation can be considered canvassing, which in time can be considered vandalism. -- ReyBrujo 22:13, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

RE:Fair use in portals edit

Everything looks good on the page you've created. I've supported it, and will most definetly vote for it when that time comes. I thank you for taking the initiative for doing this. You are a fantastic editor, and it is my honor and my pleasure to work with you. DoomsDay349 23:49, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
