I am new to editing and adding to Wikipedia. I am focused right now on updating information about school dropouts and at-risk youth, so that teachers, principles, youth workers, and policy-makers can more readily access information about dropout rates, reasons, and interventions. I am a bit overwhelmed right now, being a new user. I hope that my edits are acceptable to the Wiki community.

COI Disclosire

edit

I've been reading a lot about COI on Wikipedia, and I fell I should disclose that I work for a nonprofit organization that works on the dropout issue. Please contact me if there are any concerns about my neutrality. Obviously I intend to use a neutral point of view and cite my sources at all times. My purpose for using this site is purely to give information to people who need it.

A tag has been placed on Work, Achievement, Values & Education, Inc. (WAVE), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Work, Achievement, Values & Education, Inc. (WAVE) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 12:06, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
