Lowe's Grove Middle School edit

Hi, I refer to the speedy delete tag that you placed on Lowe's Grove Middle School. Experience shows that Middle and High schools are not deleted through the speedy procedure. I have, therefore, removed the speedy tag and cleaned the article up. If you remain concerned about notability then an AfD is the way to go. Please let me know if I can help, further. Business in the community edit

Thank you for offering to write a neutral article about this group. Unfortunately, the page I deleted was not only advertising, but also copied verbatim from the group's website, so any article created from it will be a copyright violation as a derivative work from a copyrighted work. The original page this was copied from is currently not available, but the Google cache is here (sorry for the long URL). Note that a good article should also use sources independent of the subject itself. I should have noted the copyright violation in the deletion summary, but I only thought about checking after deletion (all of the pages created by this page's "creator" were copyright violations). No worries mate! Actually you accessed it right in the first judgement. The site doesn't fit into notability criteria as per WP:WEB. There is only one non-trivial coverage of site, which is a conservative right wing newspaper. We need multiple non-trivial coverages which can prove its notability and still no body has proved it. Would you like to vote at here. Cheers! TruthSpreaderTalk 03:21, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Help the newbie edit

Hi. I'm fairly new here, but was surprised to see a new message for me about an article I'd written for Palm Beach Currumbin Clinic, claiming that it was a paid advertisement. I was actually surprised NOT to see a listing for it already, as it's actually a pretty important hospital here on the Gold Coast. I checked to see if other clinics are listed (eg Mayo) so its not that wikipedia doesn't cover hospital services. I'm a little green, and have difficulty putting in reference links yet (it was easier to just put it in as an external link to a review of the site, but I really wanted a footnote after the claim that it is the largest private psych. hospital in QLD. I'm a former patient, and it really is a good place. I didn't want to put a "review" of it, as that's not the proper forum and wouldn't be a neutral pov (yes, I'm starting to pick it all up -- and maybe), but it does deserve at least a listing. I'd love to put more info and elaborate (have a good picture) and want to write an article about the bird park its next too (lovely place, does a lot of conservation work), but don't want to go to all that trouble if its just going to get deleted again.

I think the Reillyd 09:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC) will work, but if it doesn't my userid is reillyd Reillyd 09:14, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Um one more thing edit

I've added some more info for your considerationCan you please help me with the revised version of the article? I copied an infobox off another listing but had trouble with it. How do i remove the fields like website that aren't relevant. Of course this is moot if you still delete :) And, if you're up for it, can i ask you a few more editing questions about wiki? i've added the {{helpme}} tag here

It looks like User:Cryptic has handled that for you. SWAdair 10:43, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Burn Your Wishes edit

You had tagged this as a poss speedy delete, the author has removed this - I'm unsure whether I can re-add it (it looks like an obvious speedy to me), but you look like you've been around longer so will know what to do. Cheers, Davidprior 14:38, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks...i just warned the user and contacted the Wikipedia:Speedy deletion patrol. The article has now been deleted :) UKWiki 17:31, 6 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Another speedy removal notice edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, HostControl, has been tagged for speedy deletion because its content is clearly written to promote a company, product, or service. This article may have been deleted by the time you see this message. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not an advertising service. Thank you. Davidprior 14:39, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Dear Davidprior! The idea to add such content was inspired by presence of pages describing similar products like cPanel and DirectAdmin. I believe if these have rights to be presented at Wikipedia, then the product I've described should too. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you. Themortal 15:07, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Editing User talk:Davidprior/Oct06 edit

I'm sure that this was mistakenly created in the article space, so I have deleted it. I hope that this was OK! Regards, (aeropagitica) 09:36, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Help David! edit

You posted on my talk page that you were going to delete one of my articles, and haven't replied. Is it worth expanding the article or are you just going to nuke it. Reillyd 10:23, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

The short answer: it shall not be deleted
The long answer: I am not an administrator, and so if I feel a page dhould be deleted, I mark it as such (and leave a comment on the creator's talk page). An administrator would then do the actual deletion. This act as a good check & balance, as it means a second pair of eyes are cast over it meaning thay if a user's been too hasty (as I was in this case), it will not be deleted.
Finally: appologies, firstly for the hastiness I mentioned above, and secondly for not replying sooner - I believe another user had commented on my talk to respond to your original comments, and I therefore didn't bother replying. If there was a wiki form of beer, I'd buy you a pint!.
I'll put this on both my talk page and yours. Cheers, Davidprior 00:30, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
