Thanks for your input on my recent Language Reference Desk query. I realized in advance that there was some crossover between describing the statue's location relative to Westermarkt vs. Westerkerk, but I'm obliged to adhere to the source text. So I still remain somewhat unsure how to word this caption... but as pursuing this further falls along the lines of "independent research" and accordingly discouraged, your remarks are indeed helpful! Hope to "see you" again :-) -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 11:59, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removed Gaston Lagaffe image

David, hope I'm doing the right thing here...

I have removed Image:Gastonpied.gif from your user page because the licensing section for the image indicates that it may well not be permitted there.--212.248.232.249 (talk) 17:38, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

M'enfin?! ... but I guess you're right, so: thanks! DAVID ŠENEK 17:42, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
