Watchlist

edit

You asked if your watchlist might have the wrong settings. When you are displaying your watchlist, there is an area near the top of the screen, where you can see, and set, the number of days going back, that are displayed. Also, there are various things that can be hidden or shown. If you have anything hidden that shouldn't be, just click "show" to set it back. Beyond that, it's just a matter of having the article on your watchlist. --Tryptofish (talk) 23:38, 14 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Off-wiki canvassing

edit

Dave, I'd appreciate it if you would stop the off-wiki canvassing about Veganism and Animal rights. Those articles must reflect the relevant literature, whether or not you agree with it. The only way to edit correctly is to read that literature, and fill in gaps from it, or make corrections based on it. Edits can't be based on personal beliefs, or whether you're able to persuade advocates on discussion boards to support your beliefs. If articles were written that way, it would mean they would constantly swing back and forth depending only on which advocacy board had involved itself.

I'm very happy to work with you on those articles, or any other, but the only way to do that is for both of us to read the relevant sources, then discuss that source material on the talk pages. SlimVirgin TALK|CONTRIBS 19:22, 15 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
