Why are you so devoted to strict ideological purity and absolute political correctness? edit

The Sydney gang rapes are another cause of friction and negative opinions which some hold about Australian Lebanese, and in the opinion of some they're an extreme manifestation of the attitudes which are displayed when Muslims harass women in bikinis on beaches, so they're highly relevant to the 2005 Sydney race riots article. Since it's such a recent event, it is better (IMO) to focus on reporting the facts, rather than trying to create links to causes. These things can be added later. DaveSymonds 21:22, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
That's a nice abstract theoretical general philosophical position -- but unfortunately, the human mind leaps immediately to the question of causes, and the Sydney gang rapes have been mentioned as relevant background in about half-a-dozen articles that I've seen in semi-casual browsing by now. Therefore I really don't see how this link can be considered not relevant by any valid criterion. AnonMoos 02:43, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough, I thought some time for the article to settle down would be best, but it seems to be stabilising now. DaveSymonds 05:05, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Additionally, I'm not being politically correct. I don't mind calling them "Lebanese men" or "White Australians", because that is how most of the participants refer to themselves and each other. DaveSymonds
