Boston, Massachusetts - Blogging community passage

edit

You have recently inserted a passage and links to blog sites in Boston, and reinserted the passage when it was first eliminated. Personally, I can't see anything unique about those sites you listed (other major cities have large blogging communities. Why is Boston's so special?). Unless you can give a very good reason for including those links, I see the passage as nothing more than linkspam that should be immediately removed. PentawingTalk 03:34, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Veinor (talk to me) 02:12, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 02:22, 21 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
