Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Dear Dancing cobra: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user talk (discussion) page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. A third option is to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator.

One last bit of advice: please sign any discussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into your signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!  --NAHID 08:43, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Template:Drink-stub

edit

Hi! I understand that you want to write something about 'Sura' but inadvertently edited the template [[Template:Drink-stub]] which I reverted as it affects all so called drink stubs. If you need help in creating a new article let me know. --Tikiwont 09:05, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Self-Made Tapestry: Pattern Formation in Nature

edit

A tag has been placed on The Self-Made Tapestry: Pattern Formation in Nature, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Book review

edit

Wikipedia is not for book reviews. It is an encyclopedia. Please remember to sign your posts on all talk pages. Also, when using the {{hangon}} template, simply add that simple code to the article, do not copy the actual code within the template. --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 10:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Seems like I have been a bit lost about the rules. Dancing cobra 13:17, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
