Dan Hoey

I'm Dan Hoey, a mathematician, programmer, computer science researcher, science fiction fan, and wise guy. Most of my Wikipedia contributions in 2005-06 were to Combinatorial game theory, but I have decided to be a CGT researcher and recuse myself.

Most probably you dont know me. I was one of the early CG adopters in the Evil Empire. No particularly glorious achievements, but until mid-80s I knew everything happening in the CG field, including assistant midwives and pets of girfriends of second cousins four times removed. Yep, I figured anyone clever enough to change a system message would catch the hint. I regularly edit mathematics pages here lately, for my amusement and to help out. Parasitic numbers

I remember that you did some work on parasitic numbers a while ago. That article is undergoing a lot of revision right now, and I thought you might have something to contribute. Also, if you still have the article you wrote up with the state machines that generate parasitic numbers, can you please refer me to it?
