reversion edit

Your reversion was unwarranted. Under Wikipedia:Citing sources, "Any material that is challenged and for which no source is provided may be removed by any editor." It is not Kylohk's responsibility to find sources for the information you add, nor is it anyone else's. It is your responsibility and if anyone else does it for you, they are doing you a favor. I'm going to go out on a limb based on your edit summary: it appears that you are operating on the assumption that Kylohk is the "head editor" of the page; he is not, he is simply the one who has taken the lead in pushing the quality of the article forward. If you want to help him out, add referenced work - don't give him more work by making him go search for references for information that you are adding.

OK, so per Wikipedia:Citing sources, I am going to revert your re-addition of the challenged sentence. If you wish to appeal for someone to find a source and reinsert it, bring it up on the article talk. You may also ask Kylohk on his talk if he knows of any supporting sources. I wish I could take Jackie Chan off of my watchlist, but I feel obliged to keep them on as long as these types of reversions continue. As per our previous discussion, re-reverting will result in a block of this account. - BanyanTree 09:02, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Jackie Chan Injury List edit

If you disagree with the deletion of that page, take it to WP:DRV.--Kylohk 08:33, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Creation of Jackie Chan discography edit

I've created a separate article on Jackie Chan's discography. It's been linked to the Jackie Chan article. Consider making all further changes there. I will soon delete the discogrpahy from the article itself, since it appears to be a tad unwieldy. Thank you.--Kylohk 04:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Go to "Image and celebrity status", and you will see a link at the top of the section. Cheers.--Kylohk 06:10, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Creation of Template:Jackie Chan films edit

This is just to inform you that I made a new template that lists all the films Jackie Chan has starred in, arranged into decades. Feel free to go and have a look.--Kylohk 11:13, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the Shonen Jump Magazine edit

Hello,

The Shonen Jump Magazine reference has been removed before hand, because it is not considered to be a reliable source. See the FAC for the details. It was removed per an oppose, so I suggest it doens't get added again.--Kylohk 11:26, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Good job, now it's acceptable, since it's the San Diego Tribune.--Kylohk 11:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

A little gift for you edit

Some good news, Jackie Chan's finally been upgraded to Featured Article status. Anyway, here's a little gift for you for the coordination over these days. Happy editing!--Alasdair 00:40, 15 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  The Half Barnstar
This is for being able to settle any early disputes to eventually work together in improving Jackie Chan to a featured article status.

Another thing regarding Jackie Chan edit

By the way, Time magazine is a reliable source, no matter whether you believe what they say. Attempting to use your own standards to determine the reliability of a source outside community accepted standards is considered to be gaming the system (See Point number 7 here.), which is forbidden and considered disruptive. Please try to be more polite when interacting with other users, and respect consensus, even if you hold a different belief.--Alasdair 05:53, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • All right, see the latest comment posted on Talk:Jackie Chan#Son. Basically, Wikipedia is not about truth, but verifiability. It is all right to cite anything that is considered to be reliable sources. There may not be a paternity test, but Jackie Chan said so. Since it's up to the reader to decide whether it's true, the sentence could be expressed as "all but acknoledged paternity of a daughter by actress Elaine Ng". Would you like it to be expressed this way? Sorry if you are upset by the previous post, but I just found you could be more civil in previous instances like Jackie Chan's FAC and the AFD for the Jackie Chan Injury List. Anyway, I'll be opening a Request for Comment on the article in a short while.--Alasdair 23:58, 14 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
