Not sure what I'm doing here. The Wikipedia editing interface is confusing to say the least. I don't even know who I'm "talking" to!!!

Here's my issue. On the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sputnik_1, the implication is that the word "sputnik" means "satellite". This is misleading. The word means "satellite" in modern Russian, but in 1957, when the sputnik was launched, the word actually meant "fellow traveller".
